Since starting this service I have been asked by people having to re-locate to the UK about how they can import their much loved pets without them having the stress of quarantine.
Most of the enquiries have come from people who need to move to the UK from a non listed country on the pet passport scheme. In simple terms this means any dog or cat coming from such a country has to undergo 6 months UK quarantine - if imported directly, as passports are not granted for a pet from these countries.
France happens to be a very good 'interim' country - they will accept identified, vaccinated & blood tested pets without the need for quarantine & provided the pet undergoes the usual passport process here in France, can enter the UK without the need for quarantine.
